This performance celebrates 100 years since the premier of Gustav Holst’s The Planets.
Sarah and Joseph Belknap’s art is often inspired by celestial objects; they’ll be revealing new The Planets-inspired artwork for this concert.
John Williams uses lots of “leitmotifs” (musical themes which represent characters) in his score to Star Wars - a technique first pioneered by German composer Richard Wagner!
This concert will last approximately 90 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.
